I’ve always been a performer, but not a cheerleader. I was a short little nerdy girl in high school so I gravitated to the stage…not the cheer squad. .
I guess I’m a cheerleader at heart, however.
Years ago, when I created my one-woman show, “Confessions of a Type A Lady,” I incorporated a cheer.
I call it The Cracked Pot’s Cheer (cause I’m a cracked pot).
You may be familiar with it.
God wrote the Cracked Pot’s Cheer.
With all-encompassing understanding, God provided The Cracked Pot’s Cheer to let us know…
NOTHING…no NOTHING will keep us from experiencing the depth
…the warmth…the joy of God’s LOVE.
So, saddle up folks…you need to hear this…and…wait a minute…I have an idea!
Truth be told… I think YOU might have a bit of a cheerleader hidden deep within you.
So… why not cheer with me?
Ready?
Hands on hips!
Set!
GO!
📣The Cracked Pot’s Cheer📣
But we have this treasure in jars of clay
to show this strength is from God…not from us.
We’re hard pressed on every side, but not crushed;
perplexed, but not in despair;
persecuted, but not abandoned;
struck down, but not destroyed.
2 Corinthians 4:7-9
I don’t know about you…but after I shout out this cheer, I can’t help but hear God’s encouraging whisper:
GOOOOOOOOO TEAM!

Bottom line is this:
Bad stuff happens to us on this imperfect earth.
BUT
We’re not defeated.
SO
Pull out your poms and cheer on!
God in all His glory is cheering you on, too!
Here are more Bible cheers to memorize:
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. – 2 Corin 4:7-9

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. – Isaiah 40:31

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. – John 16:33
📣
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. – Romans 8:28
📣
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11
📣
being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. – Phil 1:6
📣
As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more. – Psalm 71:14

Yes, God is great, he has never failed me. Has made me dig a little harder a few time, but if I had not, I would not have realized this was God in control and a gift from him. I am concerned about your comical pictures though, I would not want you to become a clown like myself.

Laurie this was the truth bomb we all need particularly me in this season of unknowns. But blessed be the One who comes in the name of the Lord. He makes all things beautiful in His time. So I rest in Jesus’ uncompromising grace and love. He’ll help me figure my way through the messy parts. And how I pray He’ll help me do it with pom poms raised to the sky in worship! How I appreciate you and the wisdom you share.
