Type A’s Checklist: Ten things I need to avoid in 2018


  1. Whining
  2. Pity Parties – I’m the only one who comes. After a while, I get sick of myself and wish I’d go home.
  3. The couch. Enough said.
  4. Any positions which entice me to sleep during the day. In other words, any sedentary position. In other words….the couch. Enough said.
  5. Criticism. -More on this in my series: Confessions of a Critical Christian
  6. Procrastination. Geesh! Why has it taken me two years to write to you?09ea2-check2
  7. Arm wrestling with God. This is so self-defeating and my arms get awfully tired.
  8. Vanity. I’m 61 and wrinkled. Get over it.
  9. Forgetting to take time to pray. Make a list – check it twice. PRAY
  10. Forgetting Bible Study – I need to read the Bible! READ-THINK-DO!
