Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
–Ephesians 4:32 NIV
We should not straddle two worlds. I’ve done this many times and know it is utterly exhausting and self-defeating.
We should not, with our mouths, utter what we think Jesus “wants” to hear and in our hearts embrace false, self-centered thinking. We must trust God enough to step from our “security of selfish thinking” into the arms of Jesus. We need to do this in order to accomplish HIS task — not ours.
Beware of straddling two worlds — You will ultimately be torn and Jesus cannot fully protect you there. He knows where you are (I am!) and yearns to pull you fully into HIS ARMS! Jesus loves you so much and wants to help you fully, completely!
Let’s keep out of harm’s way…stop being selfish…and embrace Jesus fully and completely, trusting He has the best plan.
