Monday Mood: Type A Lady Is Going GREEN!

I’ve always been green (kinda). I like green stuff. I don’t waste. I’m a re-user and thrift store buyer. OK, truth be told, I’m cheap. But I’m also green.

Here are four ways The Type A Lady is GREEN:

1. I eat green stuff.

Smoothies are sorta green, right? I put a bunch of spinach in my handy blender and toss in any fruit or veggie in sight! For convenience, I store bins of frozen fruits and vegetables in my freezer for early morning rush!

Smoothies! The Type A Lady loves to toss my frozen fruits and spinach into a blender and whip it up! This medley includes frozen beets, frosty blueberries, apples,  strawberries and spinach.  Water, a little juice and ice come next !
Get organized! Fruits or veggies starting to get old? Chuck em in the freezer to stock up your smoothie supplies! Even spinach and kale find a place in my freezer.
Yummy Spinach Salad? Of course! Don’t forget the nuts! Walnuts and pecans pack a nutritious punch.  With strawberries and grapes, I don’t even need dressing.
Kale roasted with olive oil, lemon, flax seed and a hint of lemon pepper seasoning. This satisfies my need for CRUNCH and keeps me out of the chips!

This pesky little Apple Mint has been invading my gardens for years, so I figured: Why not try adding it to drinks and fruit?

2.  I like growing green things

Check out my kitchen. It tends to grow green. I can’t help myself.  I’m over-the-top into green things…growing or otherwise!

3.  I’m cheap.

I shop thrift, reuse junk, and (let me think of a trendy way to put this) I REPURPOSE.

4.  I want to grow and God can help me.

God has a lot to say about what I put in my body, mind and soul. I need to eat right, read my Bible, study and pray in order to get started growing. That’s the only way I’ll stay GREEN!

In the end, I sure don’t want to be a disconnected vine.

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing -John 15:5

-I have to get my Bible Study on to keep growing in the Lord!

-Hop on the Green Wagon with me and let’s take a look at some more fun, great GREEN stuff!

“Green we must be to grow.”- Yoda
Nothing says green like a succulent!
God can use us cracked pots. Sometimes we even help green things grow.

“We hold this treasure in jars of clay to show this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard-pressed on every side, but not crushed, perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not abandoned, struck down, but not destroyed.”

                                                     – 2 Corin 4:7-9

Seattle seems to be the center of all things green.
This Seattle popsicle must be healthy since it’s strawberry-rhubarb, right???

Type A Lady Reading list for improvement and “Going Green”

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;”  – 1 Corin 6:19

Memory verses keep me growing! This is a great set from Dayspring.
Nothing says fresh like a Farmers Market!

“but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” — 2 Peter 3:18
