Lord of the Harvest

It’s harvest time.

Nope. I’m not a farmer. In a lot of ways, however, I’m experiencing harvest. I’m getting uprooted. I’m moving around.

If it was up to me, I’d stay in the soil I started in. Familiar soil is predictable. Familiar soil is comfortable.

Life can churn up familiar soil.

Hard things happen. Plans change.

Enter: God. God helps us when we’re shook up.

When I look back at what’s happened in the past few years, I see God at work.

Even though life’s uprooted, God’s provided.

As I gaze at golden fields today. I remember how important harvest is.

Corn and soybeans can’t stay hunkered down in their original homes. They’ve got to move to be useful.

That’s me. Moving a lot.

I feel a bit unsettled, but that’s OK. God does His best work when we’re unsettled.

Do you feel like harvest? Have you been cut-off or shaken-up?

– Join me in creating something beautiful!

Soybeans and corn are splashing out of those long chutes and spinning their way to become food.

At night I see combine lights streak ribbons in the darkness.

Harvest is hard work. Hard work is a part of coping with life.

It’s harvest time. – Enjoy the golden glint of clean fields.

God’s about to create something great.
