Who am I?
I’m a kid from the 60s and a teen from the 70s. I remember a lot of mumbo-jumbo talk in those days about having an “identity crisis” and “finding yourself.”
Welp, folks, at 62 I’m happy to announce: I’ve found myself! Guess who I am?
I’m God’s kid! I know you might be confused by the wrinkles and graying hair, but I really am a child of God! Woohoo!
Yep, I decided to fall right into the arms of my Savior and I’ve found out who I am.
Identity Crisis over. I’ll never be lost again.
It’s enough to make a little kid like me giggle!
Guess what? You and I can both be God’s kid! I invite you to join me. -All it takes is a conscious choice to give it all to God.
If you fall into the loving arms of your Savior, ask to be forgiven and give your life to the one who loves you most, you’ll know you are His forever and ever!
That’s the best identity anyone can have: LOVED.
I sure hope you join me in finding your identity in Christ! Let’s stick together!
Maybe you’re like me, however. I’m getting old and easily distracted. I’ve gotta be reminded who I am and WHOSE I am! I’m so glad God stuck reminders in the pages of my Bible!
Here’s a start on my reminder list for all of us who experience periodic “identity crisis.”
God says we are:
Unique
“You knit me together in my mother’s womb…I am fearfully and wonderfully made!” – Psalm 139
Loved
“I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. – Jeremiah 31:3
Special
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”. – Ephesians 2:10
Created for a Purpose
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
Love the post…and the humor! Thank you!

Thanks, Valerie! Don’t we all need to know where to go for our identity ;). – I get confused and discouraged if I look other places for identity . God knows me best! Love it!
